Thoughts on Gossip Girl “Woman on the Verge”
Don’t read if you haven’t watch it.
I’m sooo thrilled things turned out GREAT except that sad miserable Georgina.
Four of them really got back together…kind of…(Chuck and Blair: partner in crime.)
Favorite Line of the night:
Chuck:”… I’m Chuck Bass.”
Shout out to Georgina:
Can you live your life without lying? Can you make friends/ get a good guy without lying?
Final War for Spring08

Monday and Tues will be the final wars of this semester.
And i will be a Junior next semester…
When’s Over-accessorised?
I came across this music video recently. One youtuber made fun of this Japanese boyband- Kat-tun with fake subtitles of their latest music video “Don’t U Ever Stop”. This is very funny because they ALWAYS put so many different accessories on their bodies. Just one question: when’s OVER accessorised?
Life is about Change
Thanks Barbara for giving me advices on design and life also.
Here’s a quote from here,
“Confusion is part of the process, as humans are, desires/wishes are usually pretty fluid depending upon the feedback we receive. You will find yourself growing more focused over the next year or 2 but don’t sweat it, life is about change.”
Thanks very much.
Met Exhibition- Superheros : Fashion and Fantasy
Everyone is blogging about the Met Gala. I am not. I want to blog about their theme of Gala which is Superheros.

Met will have a special exhibition starting TODAY till Sept 1. (Due to all the crazy finals, I can’t go there until next week.) According to their brochure, the exhibition will “explore the symbolic and metaphorical assoicaitons between fashion and the superhero.” They will show movie costumers, couture, high-performance sportswear e.t.c. with the theme of superhero.
I will blog more about it after my visit.
Thoughts on Gossip Girl- All About My Brother
What happened to Gossip Girl???
As much as I LOVE GG, it seems like it’s going down to the road of O.C. (i.e. “i kill someone” isn’t familiar????? anyone remember Marissa????)
Too much soap opera!!!! What’s next? “I had a baby and I gave up to adoption”????????
Uncool!!!
And, WHERE’S CHUCK???????
One more thing, Georgina is much MORE annoying than she is in the book.
Anyway, still LOVE Gossip Girl and hopefully things will get better.
My Information Design Project
I’ve been doing my information design project for the whole semester. Like I said before, my design relies heavily on narrative design. I illustrated many different things that I never tried before because my works were usually all digital work. This time, I drew, scanned them in computer and then did the editing work. Also, I tried to mix different scans together and make most of the works. Finally, I AM DONE!!! I finished my book!!!
My book is an annual report for a fictional company which, in my case, is a haute couture company- Ris.

I have to thank Barbara for giving me different insights, Cindy for bearing my mood swings resulted from this project, my parents for supporting me and believe in me.
To Tracy, this time, the hand in photos, is my hand.
*** All works are mine***
Number Life
Ever think of how many different sets of numbers you have to memorize in your life?
Date, Time
Social Security, Passport, Password
Zip Code, Street Number
Phone numbers
Birthdays (the trickiest one cause you have remember different people’s birthday i.e. family, friends and more-than-friends)
Information Graphics - Stefanie Posavec

I was told to make a 20-page visual-only annual report for my design class. The book I came up was heavily relying on narrative design, like a story book, instead of information graphics. Since my mind is blocked recently and it’s due next Tuesday. I visited Visual Complexity and tried to get inspired.

I came across with Writing Without Words by Stefanie Posavec. This is a very interesting project. She explored different visual methods in representing different styles of authors.

Uniqlo Collaboration
I was reading a Japanese magazine and saw a spread on Uniqlo’s collaboration

Everyone in New York, at least the fashion crowd, is talking about the Alexander Wang collaboration (right side of spread) coming out at the end of May. In Japan, they are coming out two weeks later. Currently, Uniqlo Japan is selling the clothes of the collaboration with Ylang Ylang, G.V.G.V. and Miho Aoki (left side of spread)
Shame that I’ll be in Hong Kong at the end of May and can’t witness the craziness(?) that may happen.
